WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE EMERGING SOUND INDIANA?
Students - Ages 13-17
Interns - Students who have graduated from High School AND are over the age of 18 by the time The Emerging Sound Camp starts, may apply for one of our Intern spots.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND THE EMERGING SOUND?

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION COST?
Registration costs cover lodging accommodations for the length of the Camp, all meals (please let us know of all food allergies on the registration form), and will include a camp shirt.
WHERE AND WITH WHOM WILL STUDENTS STAY?
Camps are held at The Emerging Sound headquarters in La Porte, Indiana. 50 miles outside of Chicago. Students will be housed and fed at The Emerging Sound Headquarters. Bunk rooms will consist of several students relative to the same age and interns (all same gender).
Chicago Midway International Airport: 90 Minute Drive
Chicago O’Hare International Airport: 2 Hour Drive
South Bend Airport: 30 Minute Drive
Please note: The Emerging Sound will provide shuttles to and from Chicago Midway International Airport.
WHO WILL I LEARN FROM AND WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Jennie Lee Riddle will be present at every Emerging Sound Camp. Many of those in the People & Songs Community will also be present as well as various guest teachers and writers.
Each student will be placed in a different writing circle each day consisting of 4-10 students (depending on skill level) and 1-2 advanced and pro writers. Every day students will have the opportunity to work with different Team professionals, interns, and peers of differing ages and gender. Students will get to learn first-hand from professionals and teachers how to write songs and be leaders in their churches and ministries that will benefit them for years to come.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR THE EMERGING SOUND?
Every individual that seeks to attend The Emerging Sound Camp must be affiliated with a PRO (Performing Rights Organization) and provide a PRO number in order to submit an application. Please note: Applications will not be considered for acceptance until the applicant has provided a PRO number and affiliation. If the applicant is not yet affiliated with a PRO, we recommend using BMI.com. If you have further questions regarding a PRO affiliation and number, please contact us and we would be happy to help!
Due to the nature of The Emerging Sound Camp and its songwriting emphasis, applicants are also required to submit an audition video via YouTube performing an original song. If the applicant has no original work to submit, a cover song may be accepted instead. Please note: Applications will not be considered for acceptance until the applicant has provided a YouTube video audition.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE EMERGING SOUND?
Every application will be thoroughly reviewed by our Team. Students will be notified via email of acceptance. Applications acceptances are sent out starting after Jan 1st. After that expect 2-3 weeks to process applications. Applications are processed on a first-come-first-served basis, so do not procrastinate in submitting. Students will be placed into beginner, intermediate, advanced, or semi-pro writing circles. Registration will need to be fully completed and payment submitted upon acceptance in order to secure placement.
