Jordan Merritt is a worship leader and songwriter currently serving as Worship Pastor at Embrace Church in Sioux Falls, SD, one of the fastest-growing churches in the country. Originally from East Tennessee, Jordan has always had a love and heart for music, sitting behind drumsets as early as two years old. He grew up watching his parents share their music ministry in churches throughout the Southeast. He began using his talents to lead worship and write songs at the age of 15 and has since led worship and served at various churches throughout the country.
Jordan has had the privilege to write with some of the most gifted songwriters in the country. He co-wrote the Newsboys single, “You Hold It All,” and he has written songs for multiple projects with artists including Newsboys, Selah, Travis Ryan, and others. Jordan continues to share his passions for writing songs for and leading worship in his current role at Embrace Church and through other writing engagements nationwide.
Jordan’s desire is to see the Church equipped, refreshed, and reminded of God’s promises through worship. He longs to see the Kingdom of God advanced in our world and hopes his music cuts through the noise of today’s culture to spread the message and purpose of Jesus.
Jordan is a basketball fanatic, a Dr. Pepper enthusiast, and an avid watcher/quoter of The Office. He is married to his wife, Morgan, and has 3 children, Liam, Noah, and Leighton.
